In a special Anime at the Alamo event on May 15, 2007, where the largest theater was transformed to hold a one of kind event, and were fans donned afro wigs to give homage to Anime director Shinichi Watanabe, ADV Films CEO John Ledford and Shinichi Watanabe both announced ADV’s acquisition of The Wallflowers.

Brett Weaver who plays Nabeshin in Excel Saga and Nerima Daikon Brothers was the host on this special evening.  It an evening when Episode 10 of Nerima Daikon Brothers was screened, followed by a Q&A with ADR Director Christopher Ayres and Shinichi Watanabe, the acquisition announcement, and then the screening of the first episode of The Wallflower (subtitled), the fans also got into the act by having the opportunity to take pictures with Shinichi Watanabe.
