The mere fact Jinady has been trusting incubus for so long now that he has been in the human settlement for a while is reason enough for the relationship between him and Figaru to blossom, or so you would think. But there are other thoughts in his mind that are unsettling for him to understand now that he is truly in love and has trust for him, maybe Figaru also being his master has something to do with his lack of courage to ask him what it is that is going on.

It has taken long enough for him to sort out his own feelings on incubus, and their other kind and to build up that trust for the one male in his life he wants to be with, but how long it will last is another matter when Jinady comes across another human in a hideout bound and looking worse for wear. He discovers he was one of Figaru's slaves, and wonders why it is that he has ended up in such an awful place and such an awful situation. His name is Rowan and he is one of those characters who could be a problem in the story. As to whether he is telling the truth about his allegations toward Figaru, no one knows at the moment, but there are more questions that need to be answered along the way.

This in turn casts doubt in Jinady's mind as to how genuine Figaru is being about him changing his ways. For so long he has trusted him and formed a bond with him that he thought originally it could not be broken. The hurt he feels at this knowledge is bad enough, but can he actually confront Figaru. Could it be like Hakuin the monk from Winter Demon in that he can change the incubus's ways by just being around him as his purity transforms his mind. It will leave the reader wondering whether it is at all possible even though Jinady is far from being a monk.

Mystery and intrigue can be found from this story, as well as the sensuality and sexuality of the characters in it. Jinady makes a perfect uke, meek, beautiful and undemanding while Figaru even though he cares for him is the strong, silent type bent on having him all to himself no matter what others might try to do to change that.

The covers have become more intense as the series has gone on with this fifth piece of artwork being more intense than the last one. It is a scene of demon seducing incubus in an erotic display of heated sexuality. This particular cover is different from the others as it is more sombre in its look, of two incubuses in the throes of passion - it is a hot cover and one that will be proudly displayed on home bookshelves the world over.

More can be learned of Figaru's ways, and the way the other incubi feel about the other mortals being around them.

This instalment of the story can be purchased online and happily read as a kindle edition.
