It’s all about love in this anthology that has the tables turned on unsuspecting objects of affection. Whether it’s a strict boss with a germ issue who can’t resist his beautiful underling, a classmate’s unforgettable dream about his friend and a follow up confession, a cheer captain and the man who caught his eye, its one romance after another that offers a range of love, heartache and hope. This has a wide diversity in its stories, ensuring there is something for everyone who is a yaoi fan. There’s comedy in a story about an office man in love with a lovely fellow he’s dubbed a mermaid. Heartbreak lurks on the horizon in an angsty tale about first love and rejection in the bittersweet tale “Boyfriend”, fun is had during a summer break when two classmates enter the school at night on a dare and have to confront their fears about ghost stories and how much they want each other. “Dear Boy” is a prologue of the arrival of a transfer student and the student council president who has his eyes, and perhaps his heart, set on the new student. Naturally there are tales like ones about childhood friends reuniting, other discovering each other, and some finding happiness in unlikely places. Out of the wild variety of stories a personal favorite was "Happiness, Fun, and Kindness” by Midori Nishiogi. The love between a human man and an angel manages to touch the heart and evoke the imagination. Like the stories, the art shows a great diversity too. Some of the preferred art for me were the softer lines and more fantasy laden looks found in “It Falls at Night”; "Caged Bird" is a bittersweet story, and "Catch!” by Saito about a classmate that can’t hold back his feelings for one more second.
