Sai, the PM’s aide is still MIA but Kanata has his hands full when old enemies crawl out of the shadows to strike in the dramatic events in the latest volume. An ominous figure goes to visit Kanata and whoever he is, he is bad news for the young PM. The mystery around the man is unknown at this time but Makita knows the secret and is working hard to try to protect his friend. However the evil Kamijo is looking for the chinks in Kanata’s armor. He mentions how much Minori looks like Yoko. Who is Yoko? And what is the past that the man refers to that has so upset the prime minster? It is a much more dramatic volume this time as the mystery and threat to Kanata and those around him emerges. Not knowing the danger, Minori remains struggling with her feelings towards Kanata, at last coming to a conclusion about how her heart truly feels. The comedy is reserved for Sai and Matsumoto. The way Sai reacts and manipulates Matsumoto into being tended to hand and foot is funny. It could be that sparks will fly between these two. When Sai does return to Kanata it is only to repeat the same mistake and try to force his feelings and his body again into Kanata’s arms. The rejection is absolute and again Sai runs into Matsumoto’s embrace. Yet others are catching all this and now it seems that Kamijo may have found the weakness he has been looking for and is targeting Sai! There are a lot of extras in this suspenseful volume, including bonus manga, a Q&A with the mangaka, and postscript.
IN SUMMARY: Danger lurks and mysteries abound in the latest suspenseful volume of Millennium Prime Minister. It is a manga that has strong appeal to both shoujo and yaoi fans for its heterosexual main couple, the romantic drama and gay male representation. |
