SYNOPSIS:
Half-pint detective Conan Edogawa has solved plenty of crimes, but this time it’s personal!  There’s a killer on the loose, and the targets are none other than the boys in blue.  No cop will be safe until the boy wonder cracks the case.  But there’s just one problem.  Only Rachel has seen the fiend in action, and the shock of a witnessing a murder up close and personal made her forget everything she ever knew and every one she ever loved.  With his dream girl square in the sites of a homicidal manic, time is running out for Conan to unlock the secret of what was Captured in Her Eyes!

REVIEW:
An assistant detective gets killed in front of Conan and the junior detective league, and while Conan tries to save him, the detective gives him the only clue he could without speaking.  Then another detective, Sheffield, is killed.  His clue has something to do with his notebook.  What else could happen?

During a wedding reception for a friend, Rachel Moore is in the washroom with Detective Simone when the lights went out.  Rachel finds a flashlight on under the sink.  She uses it to move toward the hallway, but the murderer comes in and starts shooting!  The shooter hits the detective and Rachel goes through severe mental trauma and forgets everybody and everything that ever happened to her in her life, even Jimmy Kudo, aka Conan!

Conan, her father Richard Moore, and her mother Ava Kaiden, try to help get her memory back.  Her psychiatrist, Dr Clemendale, recommends going to places that are familiar, like home or an amusement park called Tropical Island.  Tropical Island proves to be more dangerous than first thought.  It does jog her memory, but she doesn’t really have time to reflect.  She and Conan are being chased by the killer!  What ingenious plan will get them out of this one?  Oh, Rachel does get to show off what she can do in a fight!

One interesting thing in the movies.  The killer is always a black shape until revealed!  That is a great way to keep the suspense up!

Now to the technical side of things. The audio was very well done and the voices matched perfectly.  The subtitles were clear and easy to read.  The English dialogue matched the subtitles almost perfectly.  The background music was the same for both the English and Japanese.  The names, for consistency with the series, were anglicized.

The animation was vibrant and full of color!  The flow was smooth with no hiccups in the presentation.

The disc cover has the police detectives, Conan, Jimmy, Rachel, Richard and Ava on the front with Rachel on the back.  A list of Conan’s gadgets are also on the back for quick reference.

IN SUMMARY:
