A misunderstanding leads Yaguna to trap Gai senesei in a fortress of his own wooden training dummies in order to take revenge on the death of his father who he duelled with several years ago. The dummies are imbued with powerful seals and seem up to the task of taking him out, but when his friends arrive to help Gai out its every man for himself. In another story Shikamaru is told to team up with Sakura and Naruto as there have been some strange goings on in the Leaf Village over the past few days and one of Naruto's old friends, Genno turns out to be someone he wouldn't want to know nowadays. From kick-ass mannequins to Naruto hearing about his old friend not being what he seems this series keeps on going and the stories keep getting more creative. Naruto seems to hold his other team mates in not so high regard though as he views Neji and Shikamaru as without a sense of humour while Shikamaru sees the new mission he is assigned to as nothing more than one huge drag. Genno is the one person Naruto thinks anything of and knows personally, and he can't believe he would organise to steal blueprints from the Leaf Village in order to organize destroying the place. As Choji puts it; "I've never seen a bad person eat at Ichirakus." The viewer will know Naruto's fondness for ramen and also his friendship with Genno. The story leads up to an investigation where the team leave no stone unturned and their investigative abilities would give CSI a run for their money.
