But is he really dead? If he isn’t, where is he?? And will he go after the artifact again? Meanwhile, Conan and the rest meet with the collector and his potential buyers to see if they can protect the artifact, aka the “Memories Egg”. They also find out not everything is what it seems! There could be another part to it, according to the granddaughter of the artist, Natasha. She found a drawing in her grandfather’s papers and came to examine the Egg for verification of what she thought she had. The mystery deepens when the Egg reveals a possible location of the other part. Russians, experts, photographers, all get involved with solving the mystery of the Egg, and along the way finding out about Natasha’s heritage. This movie is full of unexpected twists and turns! Once one thinks they have an answer to what comes next, it either comes out differently or does a total 180 on one. This is the most intriguing mystery so far in the Case Closed anime! The Last Wizard of the Century is well written, as well as being full of surprises! Now to the technical side of things. The audio was excellent and the characters were voiced perfectly! The subtitles were nice and clear, easy to read while not missing a thing in the movie. The names of the characters are Anglicized, as in the regular season sets for consistency but nothing else was changed. The animation was wonderful in its simplicity! With vibrant color and nonstop action, the time just flew by! This is one of the best movies one has seen in a long time!
IN SUMMARY: Russians, detectives and mysteries, oh my! Come and see if you can solve this intriguing mystery before Conan in The Last Wizard of the Century! Have fun! |
