While exploring Skypiea for El Dorado, the city of gold, Robin, Luffy, Chopper and Zolo get separated, first by a giant snake, and then by the war between the Shandians and the Sky People. Robin ends up on the original path to the city, while the others go off in different directions! Zolo, with a complete lack of sense of direction, gets way off track and stumbles into the path of some Shandians spoiling for a fight! One can guess what happens next! Chopper also gets really lost, but is less calm about it. He totally freaks out when the snake arrives and fighting starts around him. He really doesn’t believe that he is a brave fighter, but when it really counts, he proves himself again and again! Luffy, of course, also gets lost, and fights anything that starts a fight with him. He goes off in the direction that he thinks is the correct one but runs into the leader of the Shandians, Wyper. Wyper is such a hothead that he doesn’t see that Luffy and the crew could actually help him in his quest to kill the Kami, Eneru, who is the most dangerous and ruthless villain yet to cross the Straw Hats’ path! As Luffy, Chopper, and Zolo are fighting their way through the forest, Robin arrives at a set of ruins. She starts to take notes on structure, writings, and placement and condition of the buildings, wells, the square and so on. She’s also fascinated by the rapid growth of the vegetation and animals on the island. Her reverie is interrupted by some of the Kami’s Heavenly Warriors (who seem to say “Baaa” all the time) who are looking for a fight. All Robin wants is to document the ruins for further study and preservation, but the Warriors have different ideas! They force her to fight to save the ruins while they strive to destroy them. Will Robin be able to save the ruins and find El Dorado? Meanwhile, on the Going Merry, Nami, Sanji, and Ussop learn about the different dails and how to use them in battle. Some of the dials mentioned are impact, wind and the most dangerous, reject. They got to know a dial battle up close and personal while fighting Satori of the Forest’s brothers, Kotori and Hotori who come to avenge their brother. With two of the crew down from a previous encounter with Eneru, who will win? During all this, Eneru is lazily speculating on the outcome of the battle back at his home after a quick trip to the Going Merry. His prediction is brutal and to the point. Many people will enter the fight but who will make it out alive? The art and storyline are becoming more and more intense as the adventure continues! The action scenes and dialogue flow beautifully from panel to panel, as usual! Although action is front and centre in this volume, the comedy is still there as well placed as ever! It’s a welcome respite from the action at times. This part of the Skypiea saga is full of the war and some of the reasons for it! This action-packed volume is not to be missed!
