This time it is all kinds of trouble for Amu and her friends when they try to rescue their enemy Ikuto from the evil clutches of the Easter Corporation!

Ikuto was taken by the Easter Corporation and Amu doesn’t know what to do. She feels helpless and heartbroken at the same time, especially after being caught in a lie to Tadase after he confessed his feelings for her. Tadase is also in a funk, but a run in with the energetic Kukai and a visit to his boisterous brothers helps enlighten the would-be king.  Now both Tadase and Amu are determined to try to help when they hear the violin music that calls for the x eggs.

Amu finds Ikuto at the old amusement park she visited with him once upon a time. There she is forced to defend herself from Ikuto who is being ruthlessly controlled by his nasty step-father. Tadase arrives to help and when they combine their powers and their hearts the Embryo appears! It flashes away and the strange reappearance of a constantly disappearing boy in Amu’s life is raising hairs and mysteries, but Ikuto’s trouble is what is at hand.

The Easter Corporation again escapes with Ikuto as their captive. Tadase tells Amu all about his past with Ikuto and it is a heartwarming childhood that ends in pained confusion and heartbreak.  Now more riled up than ever to save their friend, they go for help from the former king Tsukasa who lends them a hand, and a reluctant Nikaidou’s to help them find Ikuto.

They locate Ikuto at one of the corporation’s sound studios. He is atop a great signal tower and they must climb it and brave the many traps along the way in order to help Ikuto before it is too late. Rima and Nagahiko are there to help, but the new queen has learned Nagihiko's secret – that he was the former queen. It makes it hard to work together as they face a trap in order to help Tadase and Amu to keep climbing. Nagahiko must use his basketball skills to protect Rima. It is hard work to try to fight the eggs when one cannot transform, yet suddenly out of nowhere, an egg appears and a new Guardian character transformation power is given to Nagahiko. Together he and Rima change and fight, working together as a team for the greater good. Meanwhile Tadase and Amu have reached the second of the three platforms and are rushed by a great black beast! It ends on a mighty cliffhanger in this latest volume!

Extras include translation notes and a preview of the next volume in Japanese.
