Luffy, Sanji and Ussop are in a very tight spot! Choosing to take the Ball challenge is proving to be not as easy a choice as they thought. Satori of the Forest, the one responsible for that challenge, can control the balls’ movements and create more of them. He’s also dangerously strong and more than a little strange. He somehow got the three Straw Hats to abandon the little sky ship they got from Conis, their friend from Angel Beach, and now they have to catch up with it before it leaves the forest. Otherwise, they’re stuck in the forest forever! Of course, Luffy vows to kick Satori’s butt while Ussop and Sanji try to get to the boat in time. However, when ever either of them gets close, a ball appears to block their way! Meanwhile, Nami, Robin, Zolo and Chopper are stuck in the middle of a swamp on what proves to be an alter of some sort. Nami, Robin and Zolo go exploring, leaving Chopper alone on the Going Merry. The Going Merry is attacked by another of the Kami’s vassals, the “Sky Rider” Shura! Chopper blows the whistle left by the Sky knight as a favor, and sure enough, the Sky knight appears and helps Chopper to defeat Shura by doing most of the defeating! The ship ends up in a sorry state and the Sky knight is severely injured. During the fight for the ship, Robin, Nami and Zolo find out a secret about the origin of Skypiea. About how it got airborne and which Island it was a part of in the first place! The crew finally gets back together, does some repair on the ship and then Robin, Chopper, Zolo and Luffy set out to explore for the fabled city of gold. Oh, and the entire crew gets caught in the middle of a civil war between the native Islanders, the Shandians, and the Kami’s vassals. The art and storyline are as good as ever! The story is getting very intense as the Skypiea saga continues! The comedy is ever present, while the action and drama continue to deliver the best it can! This part of the Skypiea saga is one of the crucial ones! This is a not to be missed volume!
