This is the work of two people, authoress and artist combination Yamila and Barbara and this time the theme is similar to the Winter Demon series where a young man Jinady is constantly taken by dubious incubi from different tribes who only want to take him to their bed. He is well known in the general area as being a very handsome and desirable male, yet he has been used by practically every tribe leader of incubi around. What separate him from others are his general beauty and the fact most leaders won't allow others near him as he is so prized. When he tries to escape from a battle, Jinady has two choices; run into the arms of a succubus and risk death or tumble straight into the arms of an incubus and risk being used again. Jinady knows what he does will make his life harder but to an incubus he doesn’t know what will happen later. The incubi are many and different, and each vies for the chance to have Jinady as their sex slave. Jinady knows once he is taken he realizes his place in demon society and keeps level headed enough to be able to live. His only problem is the other demons and incubi who might see him and take a fancy to him. He senses this is a dangerous thing for him as he risks getting raped by more of them and his station as being a rare and beautiful thing could be jeopardized. So even though he loathes being a kept human, he has to stay where he is under the watchful eye of his master who incidentally would stop at nothing to make sure he gets into no trouble. Jinady shows himself to be an intelligent type, in return for being looked after and kept away from the others he has to let them have their wicked way with him. He no longer sees their interest as dangerous but after being seduced by so many demons he thinks of their attentions as troublesome and it seems to bore him.
Omni, the incubus who currently owned Jinady has enough trouble with him, but Jinady knows he has to allow him to mate with him or he knows there will be hell to pay later. This title is the first of many from Yaoi Prose whose ebooks are available online and unlike the usual Yaoi fare these are actual novels with the occasional piece of artwork to boost the effect. It is an interesting change from yaoi manga and will be a new reading experience for fans of the genre who want to take in the emotions and feelings of the characters more than they would if it was depicted in art form. Yamila, who did extensive work writing Winter Demon and Dark Prince The cover for this novel by Barbara Apostolicio, responsible for the cover art for Winter Demon and Cain and depicts the young Jinady laid unhappily in the arms of an incubus, Figaru his expression will make the reader think he could burst into tears at any moment. Dogra and Omni are the demon twins who take great pains to make sure Jinady stays theirs. Jinady has a memory of being rescued from other demons and ruthless succubae and has lived with them for over a year, the two of them sharing his body and his thoughts. The general synopsis concerns Jinady being rescued by Figaru, a dark demon who wears a striking gold pendant and who promises to take him and the men and women to freedom. He also promises there are humans waiting for them, yet he wonders what is really going on and if he is actually going from out of the frying pan and into the fire so to speak. For the first few chapters Incubus Master has the power to grasp the reader from the first few paragraphs due to the descriptiveness of the author. The story has enough passion and drive to become a very vibrant and interesting novel with the reader finding out more about each demon as they read on. For those who like to make comparisons with other yaoi manga in many ways this tells the early tale of what life was like for demons and humans from the Winter Demon series with Figaru who was a character originally in those novels.

Incubus Master is what fans have been waiting for since Winter Demon - this is classic fantasy erotica written in the yaoi way, seductive, and hellishly easy to get wrapped up in. |
