Phantom Lord Guild is defeated!  Natsu and Gajeel, the two dragon slayer, have a verbal fight, and Makarov deals with the Council.  Fairy Tail’s guild building is being rebuilt by everyone.  Well, almost everyone.  Lucy goes missing!

When Gray, Erza, Natsu and Happy go to Lucy’s house to see if she was there, they search it and find a whole cupboard of letters!  The letters were to Lucy’s mother, but never sent!  Why?  Then Erza  finds a note saying where Lucy went.  And they decide to follow.

Home.  For Lucy, that word can mean two things.  Her father wanted her home to close a business deal by giving her in marriage.  She went home to explain, in no uncertain term, why she left and why she’s not coming back again for a long time.  Also to visit her mother.  When Natsu and the others show up, they think that she was going home permanently because she thinks she was the cause of the guild war.  She just wanted to make sure her father didn’t interfere with the guild again.

In a comedic interlude, Lucy, Erza and the others take a job that looks easy but turns out to be a fairly hard one.  They have to put on a play!  Erza is so excited to show off her acting during rehearsals, but during opening night, she freezes.  What can go wrong, does!  Natsu burns off some clothes, Gray keeps his on (for once) and Lucy tries to salvage what is left.  The play ends up to be a hit and the theater owner keeps them on for a while, although they really wanted to go home!

After another job, the group decides to stay in the city for an extra night for some rest and relaxation.  Lucy is attacked, but saved by Loke, the ladies man of a wizard.  He was there on a different job.  He went with Lucy to a resuarant and said something very odd.  Lucy thanked him for giving her keys back to her, but that odd phrase stuck in her mind.  When Loke did the unthinkable and left Fairy Tail, she went to find him.  She figures out his secret and tries to help him, but nearly dies in the process.

The art is still as fluid and detailed as ever! The storyline is getting quite good with about 3 or 4 story arcs in one volume.  One of the best scenes in this volume is when Lucy does everything she can to help Loke , and what Loke gave her as thanks.

IN SUMMARY:
Action and comedy collide successfully in the latest volume of Fairy Tail.
