Wow does time fly. Already we’re at the end of the second season (wail). But what a sweet way to go with that evil Valkyrie Ghost in black making waves for the other babes for the finale of season 2 of Ultramaiden Valkyrie - eye candy goodness galore. The show starts off with some crazy math. That’s right – math! Only in Valkyrie does 1 + 1 = 1. How so? Hydra and Akina get into a fight in the middle of Akina’s temple magic stuff. Big mistake! Next thing you know they’ve combined into ultra-babe Akidra! Now super powered Akidra is out righting wrongs. Could Valkyrie’s place as the heroine be usurped?
Uber-babage doesn’t stop there. Valkyrie’s dark ghost appears again (shout for joy!). And this time she makes things real hot when she steals Kazuto away from good girl Val! And Kazuto willingly goes with her! Will the melodrama never end? Will good Val kick evil Val’s butt? And where is the cute cat girl maid Sanada during all of this?
Well don’t worry Valkyrie fans, all those questions and more get answered in this latest slice of Valkyrie heavenly fun. They actually went kind of left of the comedy and good times in these final eps of season 2 and introduced (prepare yourself) a plot (gasp!). All of a sudden there’re some major angst, almost Sailor Moon style, about princesses of the dark moons and trapped feelings of resentment and loneliness. Stuff way too deep for Valkyrie fluffyness, but they try. There’s a crazy funny part with those fun Pillsbury doughboy aliens helping to save the day. It cracked me up. We get a trip back to Valhalla where the big showdown between Valkyrie and her evil counterpart have it out and every one has a part to play to assist in saving Kazuto. With all the fun, the excitement and the gorgeous anime babes everywhere, my only question is what are they going to come up with for season 3? I can’t wait to find out!

IN SUMMARY:
Valkyrie is fun, fan service and fluff in one sexy package of uber-babes everywhere! It’s what the doctor ordered after a hard day at work, school or just a hard day. The end of season 2 has way more drama than the series usually plays out, but it manages to pack in even more alien princesses and super powered hotties.
