This volume is all about Peorth and it spells nothing but trouble for Keiichi and Belldandy. To grant his heart’s desire, Peorth stops at nothing, leaving no naughty trick unturned in an effort to seduce him. It’s a battle for Keiichi’s body with Peorth versus Bell. Peorth slips him a love potion but with unexpected results. Anyone who locks eyes with Keiichi falls in love with him, including his sister! When that whirlwind of enchanted mayhem settles down, Peorth doesn’t. She manages to get Keiichi to go out on a date with her, but naturally the rest of the goddesses tag along making it a group date. They end up at the pool and Peorth tries her wiles to steal a kiss, but you won’t believe who ends up locking lips with whom! Later Tamiya drops by and falls in love at first sight with Peorth. It’s beauty and the beast, but this beauty thinks Tamiya is in love with Keiichi while Bell thinks he’s in love with Urd! The mix ups lead to romantic chaos when Peorth tries to steal Tamiya away from Keiichi in order to save Keiichi for herself. She’s playing with the fires of love and someone is sure to get burned. The door is left open for some drama when Bell is troubled by Peorth’s words referring to “that moment” that Peorth will not forgive Bell for. The sweet goddess tries to recall what Peorth could be referring to, what grudge she could bear Bell. When Bell asks, it turns into a challenge. If Peorth wins, Bell will be her servant, if Bell wins, she will be told the reason for Peorth’s grudge. The triple goddess challenge has some silly fun in their battles, such as a tickle fight between their angels and a whack-a-mole game that Bell is too tenderhearted to play. She at last learns the reason behind Peorth’s resentment and it is too funny and silly a moment after all the buildup. It brings it all home to the ground level of comedic fun that is Oh My Goddess all over. The final chapters might be the last chapters of Peorth. She finally learns what Keiichi’s true heart’s desire is and it is a heartwarming moment in how Keiichi tackles it. His choice proves yet again why he has won the heart of the kindest, most gentle goddess in the cosmos. Peorth departs, but readers are likely to see her again down the road. Manga extras include fan letters and drawings, a message from Kosuke Fujishima, six pages of full color manga, and more “Adventures of Mini-Urd” comic strips.
