Patrick Byrne and Alan Falconer have a match made in heaven, they love each other dearly, but only one things stands in their way - Alan's parents found out they were in love, and once he left his family home to be with him and him alone, they have been looking for him ever since. Patrick has to keep saving Alan from the clutches of those who want to part the two of them and with their love being so powerful he could not let that happen. With danger at every turn, the couple have to try and ward off any outside influences, but more danger is yet to come. Alan decides he wants to join the navy along with his lover, but will they be able to keep their forbidden love a secret once they get there as they promised? And if that is not enough to send Alan's head spinning, he has a strange feeling about second lieutenant Ian Campbell a feeling that he is not the nice guy he makes out he is. The first thing readers will notice is the cover art which is nicely provocative with the two main characters Patrick and Alan sailing and hugging - the art is crisp and clear while the colouring is bright, vibrant and showy enough to be noticed. The love-making and romance scenes are tastefully done with flowers around the couple in some cases which creates a sensual and feel-good atmosphere. This is one of Studio Kawaii's best novels to date, and with a sequel already out readers will not be able to get enough of these boys!
IN SUMMARY: Passionate, beautiful - Treasure Vol: 1 shows the extent of true love and how torturous it is for the couple. This is exceptionally well drawn and reads like a dream. |
