Yura has taken her first steps to become a star in order to separate herself from her neglectful patents and show them what she’s made of, but it’s a rough beginning. Her promo shoot with top talent Haruka gets off to a rocky start when sabotage leaves her with a ruined outfit and no time to fix it. Jealousies are already at work behind the scenes and she has yet to make a name for herself. The surprise is who comes to the rescue and how she finds her own backbone in order to save the day – and her burgeoning career. But this is only the first step in the hard road to stardom!

Honey Hunt continues with the dramatic intrigue in this second volume. Behind the scene grudges are one thing, but she never expected to be betrayed by the one person left that she trusted – her manager! A press conference becomes a nightmare for Yura when her ‘daughter of stars’ identity is revealed and she becomes the spotlight. The leak came from the man who promised her he would never do such a thing, and now that her trust in him is broken, so too may be her drive to pursue this career. Now she not only questions what she’s doing, she fears she got the job because the director knew whose daughter she was before her audition. She doubts her talent and what little teeny tiny bit of confidence she had gained has been torn away. Yura finds comfort in the consistently supportive Q-ta. But he’d better hurry. In her upset state she’s in a nasty part of town, late at night, and some scary looking guys are heading her way…

Despite her doubts, she returns to work only to be belittled and bullied by a veteran actress with a grudge against Yura’s vile bed hopping mother. Haruka reacts and helps her despite his gruff manner towards her. He seems just as confused as she is about how he feels about her. Could he like Yura? Meanwhile his brother Q-ta has a mysterious, perhaps ominous exchange with Yura’s manager. Was that a threat? Which brother is the nice guy? As usual, Miki Aihara lures the reader in with a great deal of mystery attached to the soap opera drama to make it another alluring shojo series for manga fans to enjoy.

IN SUMMARY:
Yura’s career is launched amidst sabotage, scandals, and perhaps a mystery!
