NTT Group's websites as a new channel of online animation distribution 2007.03.20 GDH K.K. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. President and CEO: Hiromi Wasai, hereafter NTT Resonant) for online distribution of animation content produced by its main production subsidiary GONZO K.K. (Head Office: Nerima-ku, Tokyo, Managing Director: Junji Fujita, hereafter GONZO). GONZO Selection will initially feature five of GONZO's popular TV series, Pumpkin Scissors, Witchblade, Glass Fleet, Basilisk and Red Garden, and will be made available for a fee via "goo Anime," as well as via a content website BROBA and an Internet service provider OCN (Open Computer Network). "GONZO Selection" will also be provided free of charge at FLET'S Square - a website for subscribers of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corp.'s FLET'S services (B-FLET'S, etc.) - for a limited period. FunBee, an exclusive fee-based online service for FLET'S users, will also provide the titles for one year(*1). Episodes of GONZO's new TV title Romeo X Juliet, scheduled to broadcast on TBS and CBC starting April 2007, will be distributed free of charge through "goo Anime" for 2 weeks following the final broadcast date of each episode. After that the episode will be provided for a charge through "goo Anime" and on OCN. The above titles will also be distributed through the exclusive mobile-phone site "Anime Full Channel Powered by goo"(*2). GDH has been distributing GONZO titles through various channels such as TV, DVD, mobile, and the internet in its effort to make GONZO's quality animation available to a wider audience. Through the newly launched "GONZO Selection" on "goo" and its promotional free streaming, GDH hopes to increase penetration and uptake in this exciting new market.
