Peorth plans to leave with a bang – a love bang that is! She trains a suspicious and somewhat reluctant Keiichi to say those three precious words he has been holding in his heart and Belldandy has been longing to hear: “I love you.” But things never go as planned with goddesses like Peorth and Urd involved. If it isn’t the spells that go wrong then it’s more of Urd’s crazy potions that make Keiichi’s eventual confession an unforgettable, magical, and hilarious yet heartwarming moment in the series. With her job done, Peorth is recalled back to Heaven, but when she tries to go through the Gate, the Gate goes on strike! It turns out the Gate is an entity that transforms into a pretty, if unusual, girl. She wants to get more data and the data that she wants is on kissing! She goes on a smooching rampage and no goddess is safe but neither is Keiichi. It might have gone okay except that Keiichi is nervous about that kind of thing and Bell has that deeply buried jealous streak that always leads to explosive results. Even when Bell and Keiichi get to the heart of the matter in that tender way they always do, Peorth is still in a pickle. She’s having trouble crossing the gate. The final image in this volume shows the reckless, utterly insane, and laugh-out-loud funny strategy the sisters have taken up in order to get Peorth back home. It proves that a picture is truly worth a thousand words, and in this case, even more laughs. The volume was shorter than usual but filled with all the same fun and beautiful illustrations that make Oh My Goddess such a treasure in the genre of romantic comedy.
IN SUMMARY: It is a special volume containing a love confession and a new supernatural female creating havoc in the lives of Keiichi and the goddesses! |
