In the third volume of the Junior Escort series things go on a roller coaster of angst as trauma and violence separate Ayu and Koji. Will fate ever bring them back together? After Ayu was horribly gang raped and it was video taped, he woke up with no memory of his life. Suffering from amnesia, he staggered about in the present with no direction until his friend Kurosu and buddies got together with him a formed a band. Since then, in the following nearly three years, he’s regained most of his memory except of the time he was in the entertainment business which was when he was with Koji and also when he was later assaulted. With that big missing chunk of his life, he would almost seem happy until the manga gives you a closer look. Ayu, now going by the name Natsu, keeps having odd dreams and longs for something or someone that he can’t put a face or name to. When he runs into Koji again, will the past reveal itself? Or will he forever have lost the love of his life? It won’t stay that way if Koji has anything to say about it. Still a super star that even amnesiac Ayu is stunned by, Koji goes about bringing Ayu back gently into his arms and his bed all over again. It is a beautiful first time the second time around. The drama factor runs high as his friends continue to try to get all the copies of the tape of Ayu’s assault so that they can be destroyed. They’ve been fighting to keep him out of the spotlight and away from the cameras whose attention could turn deadly if those tapes show up where greedy hands would exploit them. Throw in a love confession from one of his band mates and Ayu is confused beyond measure as to who he is supposed to be with, what he is missing, and if he wants to remember that lost time at all! In the end he will have to face his past because it is hurtling towards him like a bullet. Can Koji save him this time? The third volume doesn’t leave you hanging for that answer. It does however manage to keep the door open for more drama and reveals in the next volume, hinting strongly at a dark past in Koji’s closet that will come to light soon. As for if Koji and Ayu will reunite once again - the answer is right in this volume!
