It’s been two years since the last volume and the sixth installment of the high spirited comedy does not disappoint! It was so good to catch up with these rambunctious characters and again enter the world of good humor and exuberant romance. Jealousies ignite during an athletic festival and a new romance blooms between two classmates. Akira is full steam ahead to participate in the Athletic Festival and he wants his beloved Rei to take part. In fact he’s been feeling a little lonely with how well Rei has been getting along with everyone else, particularly one classmate. He realizes he’s been selfish and it makes him want to give a thousand percent in the festival for his teammates and for Rei. Trouble brews though when Rei’s older sister shows up and she is bad news in a big way for the couple. She plays tricks dirtier and nastier than any who have come before. Akira better watch out. But is Rei’s only solution to push Akira away? It’s more intrigue, danger and romantic meddling in the latest volume of the manga. It’s a fun yaoi that tries to never get too serious and stays more firmly in the fun. This is proven in the fairly sizable focus given to another couple – Hiyori and Tamaki. These two classmates of Akira’s have been having a rather bizarre courtship. They knew each other as children when they met at a wedding and Hiyori immediately fell in love with Tamaki whom he believed was a girl. He harbored that childhood first love all these years while in Germany. To come to school now and find out his true love is a guy was a shock. Not only that, but Tamaki is anything but sweet and demure! He’s a rascal through and through and doesn’t mind using his roguish ways to seduce and reach the heart of the constantly flustered and hyped up Hiyori. Their courtship seems more like a battle at times but when they attend a wedding together, it not only brings up old times, it brings up old feelings and Hiyori might have to finally face who it is he truly cares for in the present!
IN SUMMARY:
It’s more madcap romance in the latest and long awaited next installment of Our Kingdom. One of the funniest romantic yaoi on the scene today! |
