The second volume of the book series has Toya seduced, used and abused by his lover while he tries to figure out the meaning of love in Guilty volume 1 Original Sin! It’s an apt name for this guilty pleasure of a read and sin is the name of the game for this couple in trouble. It seems so long ago for Toya and the fateful day he was tricked in a game of pool to give up his body to the smooth writer Hodaka, all in the hopes of a manuscript. But his job as editor has Toya chasing Hodaka down for more than just some pages in order to meet deadlines! He wants Hodaka’s heart. He doesn’t know when it happened, but with each intense love making session with the lustful Hodaka, Toya fell for the cool lover and he’s never been the same since. But does Hodaka return his feelings? That’s what eats away at the editor. As if all those pressures of deadlines weren’t enough! He can’t read Hodaka like one of the man’s books. The dark man is an enigma to the fragile Toya. He’s aloof, difficult and often cruel. Is it a tainted love and has been from the start? Toya is about to find out because he’s been given a handsome new writer to groom, but this handsome man appears to want Toya! The competition for Toya’s vulnerable heart has begun. May the best man win! The main them of the novel is lust versus love. Which is it that holds Hodaka and Toya together? For Toya the answer seems to be pretty clear. He can’t think about anyone else, but Amano’s kindness seeps through to his heart that’s starved for affection, affection Hodaka refuses to give him. So when Toya draws the line he ends up in a world of trouble. Hodaka might be jealous over Amano. And a getaway trip for research lands Toya with the good looking new writer at a posh inn where anything could happen between the two men! Heated conversations, even more heated encounters are a main attraction of this book. And the love triangle that forms is one that comes unexpectedly considering how much confidence Hodaka has and his persistent claim on Toya. It’s crossed lines and misunderstandings in this fiery sequel to the erotically charged first novel.
