It’s a great one shot romantic comedy about a guy with a severe brother complex and the best buddy that gets in the middle of it! Tomo is one of the simplest guys in yaoi. He’s got very little going on upstairs if you know what I mean. He has a major brother complex and it’s easy to see why. Ei is handsome, he’s popular, and he’s smart. He’s all that and a bag of chips. Ei’s fellow student council member and best pal Izumi loves to tease Tomo and push his buttons. It drives the easily toyed with Tomo up the wall which is probably the reaction Izumi is going for. But what if it hides something more? Could anyone ever hope to compete with the perfect brother and win Tomo’s heart? The story is so funny. It has lots of laugh out loud moments. Tomo is just so not smart at all and he’s easily teased, manipulated or just plain wound up to all for our amusement. When Izumi takes a more caring approach now and again towards Tomo it totally confuses the clueless wonder. He goes through major mental grinding to realize he likes Izumi. But does he like him more than Ei? That’s what weighs on Izumi’s mind big time. Ultimately Tomo chooses to go to Izumi over Ei but it’s a short lived victory for Izumi when Ei finds them locked in an embrace! Now big brother is determined to win his little bro back to his side and away from his now ex-best buddy and lothario. It’s quite the heated rivalry with poor, sweet, stupid Tomo caught in the middle. Even if that gets smoothed over, another classmate has Tomo up in arms. Tomo thinks that Izumi might not think of Tomo in a “naughty” way, which Tomo wants, so he models himself after the hardworking guy who seems to have caught Izumi’s admiration and that of Tomo’s brother Ei! It’s a mess of insecurities and a sweet solution in the end with a high energy art style. There’s a bonus story that’s fairly typical about two reunited childhood friends. One likes the other secretly and distances himself when his best buddy gets a girlfriend, breaking the guy’s heart. In the end his pal will make a choice - the girl or the guy that he misses so much.
