With the evolving relationship, it is interesting to see that despite how fantastical the circumstances of their lives are (porn star, film star) the growing emotional intricacies are ringing true in this volume. Staring at your lover, feeling exposed physically, self-consciousness, jealousy, time apart and the myriad of doubts that ensue. Those are realistic. That the story is also full of erotic love scenes for the fans certainly only augments its appeal.
This volume contains a bonus story “Mother’s Rouge” which is a dramatic turn with characters you’ll find vaguely familiar. It revolves around the transformation of a police investigator who discovers the courage to be true to his real self. This is a coming out story if you will, one that has a startling ending.
