Kurohime goes to Terror Mountain to free the next Spirit King. Along with Kazuma and the fire spirit Asura, they deal with the brutal cold and harsh conditions of the frozen peak. Nothing, however, could prepare them for the battle they are about to face. A goddess resides upon the mountain and all who come across her past are forever frozen in a prison of ice. But it will be the aftermath of that battle that lands Kurohime against the most ruthless combatant she has yet had to face – the love of her life - Zero! It’s another nail-biting, action roaring, heart pounding volume of Kurohime. She battles the goddess of ice Oyuki, to also have to face the one who loves Oyuki, the snow god Yukio. Too much of Yukio reminds Kurohime of her beloved Zero, making it next to impossible to fight against him. It is a battle for the ones they love most and a bitter and heart rending fight it turns out to be. Yet Kurohime again shows her savvy and heart in the struggle, winning over the Spirit King and her enemies. It comes at a high cost, but not one nearly as high as what she is about to face. Yashahime has closely followed Kurohime, waiting for the perfect time to exact her vicious revenge against the witch gunslinger for the death of Darkray. Now that time is at hand. She confronts the battle weary Kurohime upon the ice laden mountain top with a new Death Angel. Dark Zero, the soul of Kurohime’s beloved, now stripped of all goodness, is pure evil and will follow his mistress’s orders with deadly precision. It cuts Kurohime to the quick, but not as much as Yashahime claiming that Dark Zero is now Yashahime’s lover! Heart broken, shattered, Kurohime dares not fight him. Using his own witch-bullets, the souls of vengeful ghosts, Dark Zero begins to strip Kurohime of her precious memories of their love, one after the other until there is only one left! With only one memory left, her transformation goes through another change. Now Kurohime must battle the most deadly foe she could ever encounter, that of her changed love. As she battles she risks everything, far more precious than her life - her last memory of the love that she has fought so long and hard and against all odds for.
