Just when things seem to have cooled down, it gets heated in the kitchen of the latest volume of Kitchen Princess.  Najika is invited to serve high tea for everyone who’s anyone and it’s at the Director’s request! He has been up to no good since the beginning, pitting Sora and Daichi against each other, using Daichi’s affection for Najika to manipulate him into doing the Director’s bidding, and now he’s suddenly all cookies and cream? Najika should be more wary. It turns out that the high tea is actually a competition with Seiya. They’re going to face off again but this time there’s a new twist – Najika has to lose!

She learned that Lavender House, the orphanage she’s called home for most of her life, is being closed down. It turns out that the Director holds the deed and has given her a choice: loose the high tea competition to Seiya or lose Lavender House! She can’t bear the thought of her home closing and all those orphaned children being separated and relocated to parts unknown. Therefore, though it grieves her to cook beneath her skills, something that goes against the love in her heart for her parents who taught her to always do her best and to make others smile with her baking and cooking skills, she has to lose. It really was never much of a choice though it tears at her conscience and her heart.  However a new and unexpected ally comes to her aid.  But will it be enough to go up against the Director and save an orphanage remains to be seen.

Seiya ends up saying some harsh things to Najika but is he really the scoundrel he appears to be? A revealing moment shows he may not be the villain he portrays himself as and he might actually be her Flan Prince! When a new employee is hired by the diner the outcome will surprise readers with a stolen kiss and Najika asked out on a date! A new love triangle has formed and it’s anyone’s guess at this stage how it will all turn out!

Manga extras include translation notes, a preview of the next upcoming volume in Japanese, and more fun recipes to try for yourself. This volume also includes bonus stickers of the main characters!
