Ichigo is not taking his defeat at the hands of the Arrancars, specifically Grimjow, well. Afraid of becoming a Hollow, terrified of the Hollow inside him, he won’t fight all out. In desperation, the dude with the fighting ‘tude tones it down when he goes to the rogue Soul Reapers, the Visoreds, for help. But they get him all riled up and tell him he has to face his Hollow or else! These Visoreds are an interesting and kind of scary bunch. They have no problems Hollowfying. And if Ichigo wants to learn how to do the same then he has to face them in a fight. Don’t underestimate them Ichigo! Shinji seems slight but he’s got a nasty streak in him. Hiyori may be cute but she’s a fireball of bad temper and killer instincts. Even pretty school girl Lisa is a serious fighter that he better not underestimate. If he wants to ever fight again he has to master the Hollow within him. To do that they force him into a match between himself and his Hollow! Winner gets Ichigo’s soul! On the physical plane the Visoreds have helped him Hollowfy and are fighting off his Hollowfied version while he has his spiritual battle for dominion over his body and soul. The fight within is intense. He learns a lot from his nasty Hollow counterpart. But outside things are looking grim. He hasn’t yet won the balance of power or gained control over his Hollow. If he stays like that any longer then the Visoreds will have to kill him! Holy intensity! If all that weren’t enough, the Human World is about to become a battle field. The Soul Reapers and humans helping Ichigo at last learn Sosukes Aizen’s goal. And it’s nasty. To do the impossible and make a magical key called the Oken in order to get to and kill the king of the Soul Society, he has to murder 100,000 souls and find a place with a large line of spiritual energy. Wouldn’t you know it that such a place exists – in Ichigo’s home town! Now they have a month to train in order to hopefully get strong enough to defeat the Arrancars before they obliterate the town and all life within it!
IN SUMMARY:
Big revelations and Ichigo faces the toughest battle against them all – the one against his Hollow self! It’s an intense volume of the kick ass manga! |
