Still on their quest, Hakuin senses something powerful around and Fuyu senses it as well, feeling it is a demon, its power so great in fact that it's aura almost chokes him around them. When asked if he could take it on, Fuyu tells him even with his razor whip as good as it is normally he would be powerless against the demon. Fuyu senses it is not coming after them, but it knows they are there, and if they try to leave in haste then it might chase after them and the worst may happen.
Along the way another, more taller demon comes, spots them stood there, Fuyu is in a defensive pose while he says his greeting showing them no threat at all even though Fuyu senses it is an incubus, not just an ordinary fire demon who undressed him with his eyes. Following where his trail leads, they see it at priest Shidan's house noticing that the incubus actually works with him.
Priest Shidan awaits them after Figaro told him there were a winter demon and a monk coming to see him.
The demon they met on the road is his apprentice and as they are welcomed at Shidan's house Fuyu and Hakuin are allowed to stay a while, and Shidan looks like he might be a generous soul until Hakuin discovers the demon has not fed for some months and is starting to tremble uncontrollably in the process. Hakuin finds out fed is another term for sex and realises to his error he has left Fuyu alone with him. Now that Fuyu has begun to bond with his mate Hakuin, he does not know that the monk is purifying him every time they are together, resulting in his personality changing bit by bit as they are with each other intimately. So when another demon comes on to the scene and wishes to mate with Fuyu, he realises how much of a bond he has with the monk, one he never would want to break for another no matter what the circumstances.
The thought occurs that will Hakuin get to the winter demon in time, or will the dirty deed have been done? This volume is as steamy as ever, and it just gets more so. The story is excellent, the plot deep and the art as sexually daring as usual.
In Winter Demon there has always been the running theme of Hakuin needing Fuyu’s aid in protecting his village against the threat of other more dangerous and destructive demons, and also trying to avoid having to have the demon attempt to get him into bed more often than not. Yet now the tables have strangely turned and it is Fuyu who dearly is in need of the monk’s help in warding off a rather turned-on incubus.
Readers will get the idea Shidan is not all he seems and rather that he might have indeed lured them into his domain in order for Fuyu to satiate the deep desires of the incubus rather than help them out.
Fans of the series will enjoy this third helping right to the last page.
IN SUMMARY:
The story gets more heated now that Fuyu is put in a very difficult position. Hot and steamy, visually amazing and seductive - the reader could get lost in this story. Excellent. |
