It’s the final volume of the magical manga series and Nina has more to deal with than just her love life triangle between Ichi and Zero! She’s been kidnapped by the King to free Queen from a magical portrait. And Zero has had all his magical power stolen! The group has banded together to help rescue Nina but they might have arrived too late! The final volume is brimming with action and suspense for our heroes. Nina finds the Queen in the portrait and they have a heart to heart. But it’s not what Nina thinks! The portrait is a trap and the Queen had herself sealed away in order to the trap the greater evil with her – the Joker. Now he’s using her and Nina to free himself and he’s one nasty villain! He traps Nina and gets himself free, but to get more power he needs to consume more magic from other people. The King and his troops and Zero with his friends all band together to stop the big bad threatening to destroy everything and everyone. They manage to free Nina but Zero takes a lethal blow from Joker in order to protect her. Now to save Zero and Spade who turned traitor (but for good reason), Nina has to find the magic within her to save everybody! Nina was never a magician. She only had the magic pearl which is now the cute dragon by her side. But it’s all up to her now. She puts all her love and heart into her wish for a miracle to save everyone. Considering how delightfully light and fun this manga series has been, I think it’s safe to bet on a happy ending. The story ends on a look at everyone in the future and who ends up with who and how. It’s sweet to the very end, just like the candy lollipop the story is named after! There’s also a bonus story about a cute little girl who is a magical dream catcher and she saves a boy from his bad dreams. It’s another cute and fun magical adventure with a heart.
