There’s fun in the sun as Seishun Academy and Rokkaku have a joint training camp at the beach.  The players form teams of two, one from each school for a beach volleyball tournament.  There is an interesting catch to losing.  The losers have to drink one of Sadaharu Inui’s health drinks made with sardines (Eww!).  Also, someone loses something more than a game!

After that, Ryoma Echizen practices with his father, an eccentric former tennis pro, to get ready for the Nationals.  The rest of the team watches the ABC Open Finals, although Kaoru Kaido gets set to play in another tournament.  Before he gets to play, he hears some other players making fun of his captain.  An argument develops and is settled with tennis.  Partnered with a player from Rikkai, will they both win or lose?

A surprise awaits Ryoma when a girl shows up and is mistaken for his girlfriend.  Or is she really his girlfriend?  Or even a spy?

Also, a friendly game is played between Shusuke Fuji and Kippei Tachibana.  Shusuke wanted to see if he is ready for the Nationals.  Kippei helps him find out by playing to win.

During all of this, a new player shows up for the Nationals, a seventh grader Kintaro Toyama, very impulsive and strong.  Could he beat Ryoma at the Nationals?

IN SUMMARY:
The Nationals are drawing near and tension mounts.  Who will win?
