The semi-finals of the Mahora Martial-Arts “Budokai” Tournament and the climatic final battle are all contained in this exciting, action packed volume. Kaede must face off against the mysterious and powerful Ku:nel Sanders, Negi has to battle one of his own students, Setsuna, and Asuna has troubles of her own when she realizes Takahata has been kidnapped and she rallies the forces to save him. In the midst of all this, Negi will come that much closer to possibly finding his long lost father!

Action, more action and a heavy dose of intrigue are in store for readers in this volume. With the many battles and magic duels accruing, there is a great deal of excitement. The greater intrigue lies with who Ku:nel really is and what ties does he have to Negi’s father? The answers may shock you. The battles with each of the people are well paced with interesting techniques and unexpected outcomes. Kaede really shows off her stuff in this volume. We also get to see not only how kind Asuna is, but how brave as she chases after Chao into the depths of the catacombs underneath the academy in order to save Takahata.

This manga has a lot of extras including more Lexicon Magicum Negimarium which is a lexicon of the terms used in the manga, there is also a word from the author, a fan art gallery, translation notes, and a preview of the next volume in its original Japanese.

IN SUMMARY:
