Yushin arrives just in time to see the Eagles match against the elite Sokai volleyball team and Nobara is playing in an all men’s match! Yushin is surprised, but that’s nothing compared to the shock of what he sees on the court!

The latest volume has romance and game play hit and hit hard. The match against Sokai is more than tough, it’s brutal. But the Eagles have a few aces up their sleeves and Nobara proves to be one of them. Yushin is blown away by how much she’s advanced as an athlete and volleyball player. But what takes him aback the most is how familiar some of the guys on her team are with Nobara, especially Ryo. Ryo however has other things on his mind. The pride of both teams’ are on the line and for Ryo it is personal. Denied an attacker’s position due to his shorter height, he’s out to prove just how far, how high and how well a man of his stature can play in this match. The best three games out of five will take the win. Can the Eagles prove they have what it takes against one of the most revered volleyball teams in Japan?

There is impressive sports art work in the pages of this match. The manga has a visceral style when it comes to the action. The drama however isn’t far behind. After the game, Yushin is increasingly agitated at the familiarity with which Ryo and Nobara interact. He comes to take her home and during the train ride back he lays it on the line. He’s an intense and serious guy. Will he finally confess his feelings? Nobara has a few things to tell him if he does! But even if they were to get together, they have the club rules and their games to focus on. Their athletic ambitions must come first. They make a promise to each other and Nobara is on cloud nine afterwards. But that doesn’t stop her from feeling guilty when she sees Haibuki again. He is obviously still holding a torch for her and she can’t help but feel badly since he is such a great guy.

Sadly for Nobara that will prove the least of her worries when she returns to play on the Crimson girls’ team. Kana has worked hard to improve her skills and become the new ace player. Now with Nobara back, Kana wants to shove her teammate out and show her own prowess off. It lends to some difficult times and one girl might leave the team over it! These chapters offer insight into Kana and what drives her so hard.

Speaking of the Crimson girls’ team, this particular volume of Crimson Hero has a special “who’s who” of the girls’ team at the end of the story.
