The other teams are fighting dirty in the All-Japan Beauty Tournament. The first round may be lost when an opposing team shoves Narumi, causing him to land on Kiri and accidently kiss her! Can he get himself together in time to make the cut he needs and style before the time is up? There’s a lot of excitement and suspense with the tournament, but its romance that catches more than one eye in the latest volume of Beauty Pop. The SP manages to make it to the second round but Narumi is completely distracted with thoughts of Kiri. Apparently he hasn’t quite bought the clue-by-four that he has feelings for her. But he isn’t the only one. Ochiai notices Narumi’s distracted state and reasons out the reason why and he is not happy about it. It seems Ochiai might be carrying torch for Kiri! This couldn’t be happening at a worst time when these two best friends who are the backbone of the SP are suddenly fighting as rivals for Kiri’s attention. The second round begins and they have to give the best cut to the brattiest kid there ever was. Can the bickering friends and distracted team mates get the job done well enough to pass? It’s looking doubtful. Meanwhile Narumi’s father is still up to no good. He wants to crush his son’s dreams and doesn’t mind employing dirty tactics to do it. If he should find out about Kiri and how his son feels for her what will the dastardly man do then? But first best friends turn rivals Ochiai and Narumi have got to find a way to work together or else there dreams for the SP will be utterly lost. The romance certainly moves in this volume. Narumi realizes his feelings and Ochiai makes a stand of his own and a startling confession. It could also be that Kiri has a third potential suitor if Billy can be included in on that dance card. However all this infighting bodes ill for the tournament and the friendships held dear by these people. The final round is around the corner and things aren’t looking good for the team.
