Rakuto has kept his feelings close to the vest due to his obligations as Sachie’s bodyguard. But a pint-sized pip-squeak might force him to confess when the most unexpected rival of all puts on the pressure in the latest volume of Wild Ones. The mafia brat Koh is more than a handful, he’s also now betrothed to Sachie! Overwhelmed, she doesn't know how to respond. When she hears about the story regarding Koh’s mother, she becomes determined to help the little guy out despite his misbehavior…and despite her date with Rakuto! She blows off seeing the fireworks with Rakuto which she truly wanted to do, in order to accompany Koh to Osaka. There he tries every ploy he can to get the girl to fall for him. Naturally he doesn’t stand a chance being only a little kid. But danger lurks around every corner and when push literally comes to shove, can the little brat step up and be the man she needs to protect her? Although this latest volume of the manga again shows how sweet, kind, and clueless Sachie can be, it mostly is about Rakuto. Her leaving sets him off and makes his indifference and gentle yet meaningless smiles slips. He is forced to show his hand and at last at least part of his heart to the girl who holds both. Will this change their relationship and finally see them step over the boundaries of “princess” and “protector”? Even if it does, the adventure doesn’t stop for these two rebels. Sports Day is around the corner and the star volleyball player, Rakuto, is teamed with his other rival for Sachie’s affections, the ever conniving Azuma! It promises to be a Sports Day to remember with these two having to work together. But a little dirty pool could change everything depending on what game Azuma chooses to truly play. The volume ends with a cute and funny Christmas story that sets up events for the next upcoming manga volume.
