Kyoko began her hard climb as a talento in order to exact demonic revenge on Sho, the boy who did her wrong. But during that meteoric rise to fame, starring in the most anticipated film of the year with Ren the top male star, Kyoko has rediscovered herself. She’s found she loves acting and she’s good at it. Ren meanwhile is dealing with his own feelings for her and she for him. But she’s clueless. And when Sho suddenly is at the wrong end of a nasty group of rockers trying to take his top spot, it is the unlikeliest of knights to his rescue – Kyoko! My, my how the tables have turned in this volume. A rock group imitating Sho climb the charts imitating Sho’s style, his clothes, even his mannerisms…and they do it better than the actual Sho! Despondent and full of pride, Sho simply withdraws rather than make a scene. Witnessing this, Kyoko becomes incensed. She rushes to Sho’s side not to “help” him but to berate him for being a coward. It turns out her verbal abuse was just what he needed to light his fire and have him resolve to fight. But at what cost to Ren? Ren has noticed Sho’s all new interest in Kyoko and it leaves the usually reserved star fuming! Ren is having a terrible time of it. He’s madly jealous over Kyoko’s recent time spent with Sho. Yet for some secret reason, he refuses to approach her and make his move, confess his feelings, date the girl for pity’s sake! Instead he broods, he seethes, and he berates himself for the intensity of his feelings. But what is the big terrible secret that prevents him from taking Kyoko into his arms? Why not be with her? There is a lot going on behind the scenes in this latest volume hinting at angst to come in this emerging love triangle. Could Sho have a change of heart and a second chance at the girl he stepped over in the past?
