It’s great to see the three ninja musketeers back together again when Sakura, Naruto and Sasuke are back together. Squad Seven is reunited and about time. Their first mission (self-imposed) is to achieve the impossible – discover their sensei Kakashi’s true face! This guy has eyes in the back of his head (not literally) and the trio is hung up on finding out what this masked man is hiding. But they’re not the only ones up to no good and soon it’s adventure, action and peril for our young shinobi! The episode with Kakashi was super fun. It was fantastic to see the three friends doing their group thing again after such a long break. They do get a real mission. They have to go to the Land of Tea and help out the Wasabi family protect Idate. He’s their hope in the great race set every four years to choose who will rule the village. Two families are up for the honor. They each have their running man, but Idate isn’t exactly the ideal “Olympian” for the job. He hates ninja. Seriously wants nothing to do with them, enough that it might just see him running away from the race instead of in it! Now the gang has to coax Idate and protect him from seriously shady characters. It’s no simple race. This is a marathon with all kinds of obstacles and goals to keep going and win to rule. The heroes face flood and fire, what’s next – famine? An easy mission just got a whole lot harder for Naruto and his pals! The shinobi take to the high seas and it’s no walk on water for these three. Aoi wants to see Idate gone…for good! And Naruto digs deep to figure out why Idate has all the ‘tude toward the ninja. That Naruto, is he a ninja or a counselor? He’s always sympathizing with everyone and anyone. Almost. He always seems to be on the right track though. Now they just have to figure out a way too keep Idate alive long enough for him to win!

IN SUMMARY:
Squad Seven reunites! Kakashi’s face revealed at last?! And an all new mission about a race and a sulking runner means a heap of trouble for Naruto and friends. |
