Pokemon is a series you either love or hate, because there’s no way you don’t know at least something about it! Either way, it is a multi-million dollar franchise and it isn’t going away anytime soon. Most readers can remember the boom in the late nineties with the original Pokemon adventures, but did you know there has been a stream of new separate seasons since then? Pokemon All Stars takes episodes from throughout the many seasons within the Pokemon universe, and brings specific episodes with specific Pokemon together so that fans of those Pokemon can see them in their own episodes as a small collection. Following up with Pokémon’s 10th Anniversary celebration set, the Pokemon All Stars will have the next ten DVD releases commemorating top Pokemon characters. Each disc showcases a single character with 3 classic episodes featuring their adventures. This particular disc of course features the Pokémon Treecko, a lizard-like Pokémon with a heap of attitude, and a bit of a loner-streak. Treecko is a grass type Pokémon that lives in trees. The soles of its feet are covered with countless tiny spikes, enabling it to walk on walls and ceilings. The particular Treecko that Ash captures and becomes allies with is a very strong-willed Treecko, but despite his stubbornness, even this Treecko comes around to Ash’s charms in the long run. Treecko episodes often have a similar theme running through them. Treecko often has particularly tough odds stacked against him, and not everyone believes he can persevere in the face of these odds – but with hard work and a belief in himself, Treecko pulls off some pretty amazing moves and often saves the day due to his own strong will. Even Ash is surprised at Treecko’s determination, and surely learns some good lessons from this Pokemon, as will viewers with any luck. The three episodes contained on this disc are named “Tree’s a Crowd,” “A Tail with a Twist,” and “What You Seed is What you Get.” In one episode, Ash helps to save the tree that Treecko grew up in and thusly becomes Ash’s ally. In another, Treecko is grossly outmatched by a particular Pokemon, but he trains hard at a new attack and shows that his determination is what wins the day in the end. The last episode features a giant watermelon patch and Ash’s wish for Treecko to learn the bullet seed attack. After spitting plenty of watermelon seeds, and protecting the patch from Team Rocket, Treecko pulls a very impressive bullet seed attack, bringing Ash and Treecko closer together. There’s three great Pokemon adventures here with lots to learn, and lots of Treecko to go around!
IN SUMMARY: Pokemon All Stars brings you your favorite Pokemon on separate specific discs, making them great gifts for fans of specific Pokemon. They’re a great way to see a whole lot of one particular Pokemon, without having to go through whole seasons to see them! |
