After Shizumasa Togu gave Maguri his ribbon back, and Haine Otomiya became his new girlfriend, she sees things have changed in her life as she is now introduced to the Academy as a "platinum" student. She is having to get used to all the attention given her as she is so linked with Shizumasa, though she hates the mock adoration, mainly due to her not being spoken to by most of the students before she was attached to "The Emperor." Thought Maguri still talks with Shizumasa, Haine catches them in a compromising position again, and contemplates whether he is serious about her. When Yoshitaka Ichinomiya arrives at the Academy and announces to Shizumasa and Maguri at the committee meeting that he is a she, complete with long, flowing hair and bows Haine believes he has seen her naked thinking originally that it was ok as she thought he was a girl! Tiring of being around The Emperor and Haine, Maguri moves on in search of love on his own. Arina Tanemura expands on the story in this second volume, showing all the poignant characters, who will encourage the readers to keep up-to-date on the story itself. The setting could not be more up-beat as in an Academy, but the shonen-ai overtones and the character's personalities shape how the story continues. Arina's drawing style holds the reader with a great power as she has given the characters a three-dimensional feel rarely seen in manga and which will go towards proving the series will be a hit with the fans.
IN SUMMARY: A wonderful manga with plenty of promise. |
