"Remember that...I'm really nothing without you." As Joonha realises her secret could be noticed by her friends easily, she reveals all to Heewon who still cannot believe what she says. Her memories come back to haunt her and in them she sees snippets of Joonha as a young boy at school and out. Piecing together the aspects of her childhood could be hard enough, but is being told that one she loved long ago is now a girl, when once a boy?
Joohna tells her it is a gene passed down in her family, and that she had to move as soon as she turned sixteen, as she would not be able to cope with the sudden change, and the thought that she would be seen as a freak of nature.
Joonha mentions she was always on her mind and her first love, but is ordered by Heewon to keep her past a secret if she ever marries or has children of her own as others might not be so understanding as she has been. After talking to others before leaving again, Joonha walks down a side alley and sees Taehyun's house, wondering how she came there in the first place. Going down into a side street, she sees him being dragged into a car by mafia thugs and immediately calls Mr Yoo for help not realising the consequences of her actions, but also the strangely fortunate result of what she does either. Readers will warm to the love in this, the final volume of Click, and enjoy it so easily. All the characters are now being told farewell and in their own way they must accept part of what Joonha is in her new life, yet toward the end there is a twist fans of shonen-ai will love to find out. They will enjoy the conclusion of the Click manga series from the creator of June and Romance Papa, and not worry that there will be more of the same from the successful author.
Art wise, the novel keeps up the stunning atmosphere of the story, also while showing certain characters as rather bishonen in style without it being in the realm of yaoi. There is sure to be a number of fans of this series who are just waiting for the author's next offering.
IN SUMMARY: Romantic and enduring, this series has the potential to go in leaps and bounds in many volumes due to its lasting vibrance. The characters are fun and interesting to read about. |
