Rumors about a girl at the school disguised as a boy are running rampant around the academy and making Mizuki’s life miserable, except for one thing – Sano. Now that they each know how the other feels and that she’s a girl, love blossoms more fully between them. But when Mizuki suffers a nasty fall, it threatens to spill out all of her secrets.  Find out how it all ends in the latest and final volume of the long awaited conclusion to Hana Kimi.

Nakatsu uncovers Mizuki’s secret but the school is filled with hushed whispers and more bold actions. Mizuki’s secret and her safety are on the line and no way out seems evident. Nanba has a plan, but Mizuki wonders if she can go through with it. She risked everything these past two years to be by Sano’s side, but when others are put in the crosshairs because of her situation, Mizuki will have to make the hardest decision of her young life.

The tale comes to a close in the days leading up to graduation, the preparations for it is overshadowed by the drama foisted upon Mizuki and Sano during these final chapters. It has some wonderfully heartwarming moments when some of their friends and colleagues show their true colors in how loyal and steadfast they are, while others prove to be real jerks.  The end of the manga is a culmination of all the kindness and gentle romantic promise the understated romance could offer. Simply lovely.
