The adventures in Akihabara get downright dangerous for closet Otaku Sota and his best bud Kenji.  They are about to get closer than they ever wanted when maniacal Boys Love magazine editor, Momoe, wants them for a “special” service!  Is this manga about to go yaoi crazy?  Wait until the yuri hits the fan!

That’s ripe, it’s the yuri and yaoi fun in this volume of I, Otaku.  Tencho, villain that he can be, helps Momoe trap our heroes in a plot to inspire Momoe’s top yaoi mangaka.  And that means Sota and Kenji have to get close.  Really close … or else!  Holy catch 22 for Sota!  Can Momoe make them an offer they can’t refuse?

Then Eri tries to understand her closeted otaku boyfriend.  But her date with Sota sheds no light on what “moe” is.  However, it does shed light on the value of her under-classman Nia-chan.  Seems Nia’s been crushing longtime on Eri and seeing the girl of her dreams with an idiotic Otaku pushes her yuri drive over the edge!  Otaku traps and yuri yearning take over.  Sota is about to learn just how popular his girl is with the ladies!

The yaoi tricks and treats aren’t over with yet though.  Our two boys get tricked into working a day at Momoe’s Boys Love magazine.  And they’ll never be the same again!  And don’t think the yuri has left the building.  When Sota is introduced to the fetish world of cosplay café his otaku hormones reel!  He even gets Eri to work there (who doesn’t wish they had a girlfriend that accommodating!).  But the trouble hits when Nia gets a job there too, still chasing Eri’s skirt and Sota goes ballistic.  It’s battle in the maid café.  Later the 3 otaku (including Tencho) have to work part-time at the maid café.  Things go way out of control when the dudes decide to change the menu.

Doujin ends up in the hospital over Christmas and his arch-rival Tencho is determined to visit him.  Has the world become an alternate universe?  Has the Xenos spirit overtaken Tencho?  New Year’s has Sota and Eri visiting a temple in hopes of some good fortune – but they might be in for some bad luck!  Momoe, Tencho and other troublemakers show up for a special New Year’s adventure.

Bonus fun in the original English language manga include a full color cover page, and illustration gallery, and translation notes.
