In search of the truth behind Lia’s murder and the Poets’ real goal, D’Eon and the haunted spirit of his dead sister are led before an altar and the daemon of Eleanor. D’Alembert guides them through the ghostly Tarot card reading revealing their past, present and future. However, the prophesized destiny of brother and sister are already well into motion. And before they receive full answers, they are attacked by the most powerful and insidious Poet by far. The ambush is malicious, contorting reality and leaving D’Eon and D’Alembert trapped while the Poet takes possession of the alter and the sword. Cornered, they turn to dire measures. A sacrifice must be given. D’Eon makes a fateful choice that will forever change his destiny … and may be their only hope of survival. Done in mysterious and esoteric teachings, the latest volume of the manga offers horrific action combined with theology. The manga goes into Taro and Kabbalah roots for a deeper understanding of the Poets and the destiny of Lia and D’Eon. Brother and sister undergo a startling transformation while D’Alembert continues with his own questionable agenda. Manga extras include translation notes and a preview of the next volume in its original Japanese.
IN SUMMARY: Lia and D’Eon face their most horrific battle yet in a fight for survival in the latest volume of Le Chevalier D’Eon. A gripping series! |
