Madhouse and CLAMP to bring Natasuhiko Kyogoku's award winning novel to life
Madhouse to animate Natasuhiko Kyogoku’s award winning Moryo no Hako. The original novel which exceeds one thousand pages is the second installment of the mystery writer’s popular work entitled Hyakkiyako series, that has won the Mystery Writers of Japan Association prize, and is one of the writer’s crowning jewel to date that fans has been eager to see developed into an anime.
The animation adaptation is coming off right at the heels of Moryo no Hako live-action feature film that was directed Masato Harada on December 2007, and it will be the second time that the author’s novel will become an anime following Kosetsu Hyaku Monogatari released in 2003. Sadayuki Murai who was in charge of the writing Kosetsu Hyaku Monogatari will be in charge of story once again, Ryosuke Nakamura to directed the anime, and CLAMP to handle the character designs.
