The war between those who can control the powers of the seasons heats up is the tense events of the latest volume of Shiki Tsukai.

Akira, the destined Shinra, has still not awakened to his full potential as the hero who can control the full forces of Nature.  This prophesized Shinra however is only a sweet boy who has a gentle heart.  But his unawakened powers are coveted by the Shiki Tsukai.  They want to control him or … destroy him!

In the burgeoning war, Fall has sided with Summer.  They want to destroy humanity for all that humans have done against the Earth.  Spring and Winter want to save humanity and maintain the status quo.  Luckily for the sake of all people on the planet, Akira considers the shiki of Spring and Winter to be his dear friends.  Yet still his powers lay dormant.  When Summer wars against Winter, the casualties mount and those close to Akira get hurt – and possibly worse.  In the heat of battles and a second encounter with the deadly fighter Nanayo, Akira ‘s abilities as the Sinra are about to be awakened!

Old foes and new enemies take the stage in these chapters, creating the most suspenseful and dramatic action in the manga series yet.  Summer uses Satsuka as bait for Akira, but her father shows up to save his daughter in an intense battle with shocking results.  At the same time, Akira and Koyomi face off against Summer’s most powerful Shiki, Nanayo.  The Shinra has been awakened, but what will this mean for the two warring factions, for Akira, and for the fate of the world?

This volume also gives more character insight about the surrounding cast.  There are in depth explanations about the Shiki Tsukai, Shiki Fu and the Shinra, that are crucial to understanding the intricacies of the world of Shiki Tsukai.

There is a stellar amount of manga extras in this volume. Manga extras include translation notes, after words, a Shiki Knowledge Twelve Month Ability Chart, a Season Incantation Chart, Character Profiles, Character Design Collection, a 366-Day Calendar, and further notes.

IN SUMMARY:
Summer wars with Winter and the Shinra’s powers are awakened in the latest exciting volume of Shiki Tsukai.
