Two cakes, two men and one big problem! Harima srews up a cake gift as only he can. Confusion, parties and sweet teeth contribute to chaos in the First chapter. But it’s the class’ take on Sleeping Beauty that steals the show! The whacked out gang puts on the play for the Cultural Festival. The girls are dressed up as the princesses but Harima, that lunkhead, has fallen asleep on the set in a comfy bed – making him the bearded ‘beauty’! Yikes! And you’ll never guess who gets to wake that ‘beauty’ with a kiss. The other big surprise is the face-off on the stage and later on the dance floor between Eri and Yakumo … over Harima?! Has everyone forgotten that Yakumo isn’t into Harima that way? You can expect guffaws galore when the gals decide to make a basketball team. Who knew they had talent with the hoops? Satsuki proves her worth and joins the club of not just basketball but also the crazy cast of lovelorn fools in School Rumble. There’s some girl bonding and a love confession. Considering this is School Rumble, don’t expect it to go anywhere. Has a single couple formed yet in this manga? Unrequited love bounces around the court more than the basketballs! There’s an extra story about two lovely ladies drag racing. There’s also an odd and cute story about Yakumo wanting to find a love of her own, a rainy day, and an umbrella. Manga extra goodies have more School Rumble shorts, background and sketches with notes.
IN SUMMARY:
A cake switcheroo, a whole new take on Sleeping Beauty, and love and basketball make the grade in this latest, and always crazy, School Rumble.
