When Georges finally faces up to his feelings for Robert, he wrestles with newfound jealousy towards the deceased Grace and her place in Robert’s heart. He also is riddled with doubts and his own desires. However, despite realizing his own feelings, he is in denial about Robert’s feeling towards him. Is it true that he is only a substitute for Grace? Or does he have a place of his own in Robert’s lonely heart? Desperate for answers, he turns to the most unlikely source: the reckless, even violent, Alain. Together they will uncover the mystery surrounding Grace, Georges and a unique rosary. The truth begins to unfold like a flower, but this flower may have thorns that will bleed Georges’ gentle heart.

To finally have Georges realize the depth of his feelings for Robert is wonderful, but then to see him obstruct his path to Robert by denying Robert’s feelings for him is maddening. Just as one of these young men finally stops running, the other pushes away. The new discoveries raise a very important question: will the truth finally help unite Georges and Robert, or forever keep them apart? The tension in this richly done dramatic romance just heightened on all counts.

Manga extras include notes from Chigusa Kawai.

IN SUMMARY:
La Esperanca is a magnificent romance that shows the best in dramatic story telling and rich art work. It is a superb yaoi manga, one of the best. This volume sees Georges facing his feelings while denying Roberts, and seeking out the clues to his ties to Grace no matter the personal cost.
