A new disciple could prove to be a rival for Yuki’s love in the latest volume of Kagetora. The manga adds push to shove with the introduction of Kujou. He looks like a tall juvenile delinquent but in reality he’s a wimp and a ninja otaku. When he witnesses Kagetora’s martial skills in a street scuffle, he begs, pleads and basically stalks Kagetora in order to be taken on as a student. This doesn’t sit well with Kagetora, but between the boy’s sob story and Yuki’s kind ways, Kagetora is teaching Kujou alongside Yuki, and the new student has a long way to go. It doesn’t take long for the new guy in the dojo to fall for Yuki’s sweet ways. Kujou is crushing on her hard. A trip to the hot springs and some prodding from a meddlesome Aki has Kujou declaring war against Kagetora for Yuki’s fair affections! For Kagetora this could very well prove a turning point in his relationship with Yuki. He’s constantly insisting that his relationship to her is one of master and servant, despite that they’ve both fallen for each other long ago. But neither will make a move. With Kujou openly declaring his love for Yuki and taking her out on a date --- all things Kagetora longs to do but never does --- Kagetora might finally get a fire lit under him to confess his feelings at last! Manga extras include translation notes, comic panels, and a preview of the next volume in English.
