Mysteries and calamities continue in this latest volume of Case Closed.   In the first few files, Detective Takagi, Conan and the rest of the kids are trying to clear the name of a man innocent of the murder he is accused of doing.  The man, Mr. Higashida, wants to be found innocent of the crime in time for an important appointment.  Is the murderer him or his rival at work, Mr. Kitagawa?

In the next few files, another murder takes place, while Rachel Moore, her father, Richard, and Conan are dinner guests at Dr. Araide’s house, who is the family doctor.  One member of the Araide family dies and Conan has to figure it out.  It seems to be a very complex case.  The suspense is kept up to the very end of the mystery.  Was it someone inside or outside the family?  Also, Conan is wondering if Rachel is getting tired of Jimmy being gone all the time.  Has she found a new love?

In the last files, the man in black returns and he’s brought friends!  They’re looking for one of their own, Sherry, and one of the kids, Anita, looks exactly like her when she was a child!  Some of the agents after her, including Gin and Vermouth, are trying to flush her out of hiding.  Meanwhile, there is a third murder, that happens to be in a hotel, to solve, and both Anita and Conan are there undercover to help.

Interspersed through the volume are calls from Jimmy Kudo (aka Conan using the voice modulator), and other comedic bits, along with a letter from the editor.

IN SUMMARY:
Mystery and intrigue are alive and well in this latest volume of Case Closed.
