It’s a dramatic romance from DMP this time. In Golden Prince and Argent King, poor Yuuki, having just lost his beloved mother, finds out he’s the illegitimate heir to the rich and powerful Watase family. Awestruck, he’s brought to his new house where he now lives with his two handsome half-brothers. Trying to find a place to belong, soon he finds himself falling for one, or both, of them. Having to choose between the sleek and dark Gai and the golden and friendly Masumi may be too much for Yuuki to bear! This is a full-bodied love triangle and a dramatic one at that. Trying to fit in with the upper class is no walk in the park. Yuuki gets bullied by jealous classmates, betrayed by supposed friends, and is torn between twin men he doesn’t dare confess to. Each of the three characters is so very different and the drawing style reflects that. Can these three men find happiness somehow? A long-hidden secret might decide the matter for them! Like I said, there are good differences in the character designs. Each is distinct. It’s a romance but because it’s a drama, the style isn’t too flowery or wispy. It’s romantic and explicit without being overly graphic. It sweeps you up in Yuuki’s new life and his first loves.
