The crew is finally on their way to Alabasta! Along the way, they meet a very strange character that can change his face and body to mimic anyone he touches. Almost all the crew was touched, except for Sanji, who was in the galley at that time. Later, when the stranger had left, Vivi remembered that Mr. 2, Bon Clay, had exactly those powers. The crew then took measures to identify each other. Finally they actually arrive in Alabasta! There, in the port of Nanohana, Luffy goes off to find a place to eat, while the rest of the crew goes to buy supplies. When Luffy enters a restaurant, he finds his own brother, Portagaz D. Ace! Also, Luffy finds Captain Smoker of the Marines. A chase is inevitable. With Ace’s help, Luffy gets away, and he and the crew get back on the ship. Ace ends up having a short visit with Luffy and giving him something important before having to go back to what he was doing in the first place. The crew then has to cross the desert in order to get to the rebel headquarters in Yuba, where Vivi hopes to end the fighting. When they get to Yuba and find out the rebels have moved, Vivi thinks about how things used to be. After they leave Yuba, Luffy seems to give up. Vivi gets angry and wonders why. When Luffy tells her the reason, she starts to cry. Meanwhile the Baroque Works Number Agents are having a meeting and will also find out who Mr. 0 really is. One of the agents, thought to be dead, comes back. Orders are issued and the mission’s stakes go up a few levels!
