In the same vein as some of the more involving Western romances, Eternal Love is a yaoi romance filled with exotic landscapes and a love that neither distance nor different cultures can the heart deny.

Tomoyuki has lost himself in his work for the past six years, ever since the dreadful day when the love of his life, the foreign student Aswil al-Murshid, suddenly returned to his desert kingdom with barely a word goodbye. Bereft of his one and only love, Tomoyuki gave up on love and happiness, living a friendless empty existence in England. When he suddenly finds himself kidnapped and whisked away to a desert oasis, he is again confronted with the dark and alluring man who stole his heart six years ago. But pride is sometimes the only thing the lonely have to guard their hearts and Tomoyuki fights his passion for the handsome man. But Aswil has a charisma that few can resist. Between an escape attempt, a dangerous encounter, an angry fiancée and possible fighting within the royal family, Tomoyuki has gone far and away from his lonely and small life in England to one of danger and breathtaking seduction in Eternal Love.

It is one of those sweeping romances that have scorching love scenes that have little to do with the hot desert sands. The characters are well written, fleshing out Tomoyuki well while keeping Aswil mysterious yet giving just enough away so that the reader guesses to some of his true feelings. At the same time, the book is great at describing the settings. The initial introduction of the reader (and Tomoyuki) to the garden oasis that is his prison is one of great beauty and wonder. It is like a mirage, one Tomoyuki is loath to wake up from. The battle for him isn’t merely trying to fight his love for Aswil, it is also one within him in battling his need for pride and his desire to surrender to Aswil completely.

The novel has excitement, danger, erotic love scenes, all the fine stuff of a great romance. It also includes lovely illustrations, particularly the final scene as well as a full color cover page.
